About Ohio JEDD Tax Settings
Background
Joint Economic Development District (JEDD), is a program in Ohio designed to facilitate economic development and tax revenue between local townships, cities, and villages. JEDD only applies to certain areas in Ohio. Note that even though your company’s location may appear in the list, your worksite may not be liable to pay the JEDD tax. If you are unsure, please contact your local taxing agency.
Setting Up Ohio JEDD Tax in Patriot Software
If you are an Ohio employer, you will see a list of JEDD locations to choose from in the set up wizard. Once you are past the set wizard, you can find this in Settings > Payroll Settings > Tax Info per Work Location.
If this tax applies to you, select your location from the list. Otherwise, keep the default “Not Applicable.”
